Jul. 21, 2017 | by Meg Pelagio | Category: Blog Post

Abiding with July's theme-INTERNET OF THINGS, DevCon PH conducted a Raspberry Pi Code Camp last July 15, 2017 at Bitspace, Makati – the event’s venue sponsor. The event started with the introduction of DevCon PH led by Mr. Michael Mayo.

After the brief introduction, Mr. RJ Ramirez, the Vice President for Marketing of DevCon PH, invited the participants to join the upcoming event of Accenture- Shaping the Future Forum.

The code camp is open for both professionals and students. An astonishing moment for the participants and volunteers, the youngest participant is an 8-year old girl.

The speaker Mr. Josef Monje introduces Raspberry Pi, its importance and its uses. Mr. Monje then showed how to setup the device. Mr. Monje and the volunteers helped the participants who were having a hard time in configuring the device. After every device has been configured, Mr. Monje explained the possible reasons behind the error in the participants' device.

To conclude the event, the volunteers gave a souvenir sticker to all participants and chose five "Early Birds" who were given a 16,800 mAh powerbank. There were also two winners for the "Social Media Posts", who brought home a tumbler from one of our sponsors, Accenture.

Lastly, to commemorate this successful event, everyone came together to take a group picture.

Here are some pictures of the recent code camp.
