A seasoned technopreneur and founder of DevCon, US-based Winston Damarillo has always been an advocate of the ICT sector in the Philippines and a believer of Filipino software engineering talent. Quarterly, he travels to the country to conduct talks, inspiring students and new software developers.
Shumate enjoys recalibrating careers. She had worked in academia and in some not for profit organizations. She has a strong inclination to entrepreneurship, home grown innovations and leadership. She co-founded The Office Project Coworking Studio (TOP). She had a sweet spot for creatives, community building and surfing. As the Managing Director of Devcon, she directs strategy towards the sustainability, growth and operation of the organization by developing strategic operating plans that reflect the longer-term objectives and priorities of Devcon.
RJ is working in the field of Software Engineering with Microsoft Platforms, He started volunteering for DevCon in 2013 when he was still a student. He graduated from Far Eastern University – East Asia College with a degree in Information Technology.
Jhonathan is a digital nomad, indigitousph and padc curator. He loves traveling, music, and pokemon. He has been in the startup environment for more than 5 years. He is also the founder and Chief Geek at Giolosts Technologies. He graduated from Technological University of the Philippines.
Jossie, DevCon’s VP for Finance, works full-time as a software engineer. She used to be the Sales Head of the Cagayan De Oro Quantum IT Convention. She graduated from Xavier University – Ateneo de Cagayan with a degree in Computer Science.
Val is a Software Engineer at Exist Software Labs, Inc. Graduated at University of Cebu – Banilad Campus with a Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology. He just goes with the flow in terms of learning new technologies and likes to share some ideas by organizing brief code camps.
Cris is a Web Developer at Force12 Media, Inc. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, graduating Magna cum Laude from Liceo de Cagayan University. He considers himself as very lucky to be able to work on something that he loves so much. Code is Poetry.
Jay is an autodidact who was introduced to DevCon in 2011 and has been a passionate volunteer since. His interest is on Open Source technology, DevOps, Cloud Computing and other SysAdmin related stuffs. He is currently pursuing his bachelor’s degree while doing freelance jobs for local and international clients.
Jingo is currently a web developer at Voiceless Technologies, a nocturnal coder and loves to code a lot, also has worked with mobile and game development companies. He is interested with open source and cloud computing technologies.
Ed graduated from FEU Institute of Technology (FIT) with a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science. He worked with software companies and as a part-time computer science professor at FIT when he was still in Manila. He is interested in startups, software development, and information security.
